One of the many changes the recent pandemic has brought is that organisations realise they must digitalise their services.
For some cultural or religious organisations which focus on membership-based events as a means of not just communication but existence, this has been a challenge. For decades even centuries, they have been meeting or parading or working together and suddenly that all stopped.
That was literally and metaphorically a culture shock. Everything literally changed overnight as events were cancelled meetings stopped and activity ceased. The challenge was how to do all those things either safety or virtually.
We have been working with a range of clients including large sector wide bodies like the Chinese Welfare Association, and the Independent Orange Order as well as small community museums, groups, churches and businesses to get them online and back to work.
One recent challenge was how to hold the Twelfth ….. virtually. With funding from Mid and East Antrim Council and working within a very strict brief to comply with government guidelines, we engaged with this traditional organisation to see how they could take the best bits of their big day and put it online.
Check out the results at www.iloi.org to see how we helped them bring history to life, a parade to the people at home and all the things their community enjoy in a safe engaging manner.
